Wonderful Welcome

Well, wonderful welcome was the first thought that came into my head when I was looking at a headline for the double ‘ww’ title. I could just as easily have been wonderful week.

We have been hosting the GSE Team (Rotary – Group Study Exchange) from New Zealand during the month of September, they have had a great time and are enroute home now.

While they were here, I had the offer to attend a fundraising ball organised by Charan Gill MBE, my host Rajan provided me with some tremendous new contacts and entrepreneurs to chat with and the whole event raised a considerable amount of funds for charity – well done Charan.

This was followed by a wonderful weekend at our Rotary district conference when the keynote speaker was Sir Tom Farmer, an inspirational presentation and an opportunity to chat about some of the projects that I am working on.

Last night though – was a highlight of the wonderful week, I was at another dinner and the guest speaker was Alastair Campbell, former press secretary to Tony Blair – Alastair was another inspiration, but I had an added value in that I had gone through a similar truama and breakdown. Alastair has written his diary and novels as part of his recovery which brought him back from the brink – I have started to put this site together as my route to recovery and I continually thank you all for your support and encouragement.

I have asked Alastair to have a look at the site and perhaps contribute an article or two – watch this space.

I shall work away and strive to ensure that the ‘coding’ issue for the e-mails is resolved as soon as possible so that we can get the site launched and also ask the .ME domain folk if they still wish to use the site as a good example of the use of the .ME domain
