Happy St VALENTINE’s Day

What a brilliant way to show others that they are special, Rotary have a Motto – ‘Service Above Self’; also in the Bible, Jesus told us to ‘shower our enemies with love’, after the Omagh bombing the father of one of the young ladies who died was broadcast around the world almost immediately after his daughter had died, stating that he ‘forgave the people who had done this and that he would pray for them’

These are the cornerstone of ‘charitable works’ which are done each and everyday. Ordinary people who show grace and respect to all, who give time and care to all, who share and support all of those people that they interact with.

I will never be able to express these sentiments any clearer than the quotes I have used above, these are the ‘Positive Quotes’ which will begin a new day in your heart – once we have officially launched the site, we shall provide many quotes for you to ponder and examine, we will expect you to question these perhaps and improve on some, as well as sharing many others from your own experiences.

I was a teacher for over 30 years and recently I came across one quote which stimulated this particular post, the quote is attributed to ‘Carl Rodgers’ –

“The only one who is educated is the person who has LEARNED HOW TO LEARN; the one who has learned how to adapt and change; the one who has realized that no knowledge is secure; that only the process of seeking knowledge gives a basis for security.”

That very quote has driven me during the past week or so to learn how to do web development – using visual basic, can you imagine? – An ‘olderprenuer’ who can see the potential in gaining an insight into how we can communicate using modern technology, how to promote education – I am teaching myself how to build a website to replace my old site ‘learnwithease’ which was first done about 15 years ago with the help of some of the young folk who knew what was what in website pages then.

The new site will show that anyone can ‘LearnWithEase’ and I intend to provide many examples of projects and products that can be developed by communities around the world and perhaps be taken up by international charities for use as educational tools for all ages and experiences, in all environments and situations.

Share your thoughts in the forum, let us know what you think of the material in the site and many of you have also been sent a copy of the ‘draft’ layout, I would value feedback please, if you haven’t managed to see the draft layout let me know and I’ll forward it too you.

I shall be in Alberta, Canada for April – for 4 weeks, therefore the site launch may be delayed until my return – who knows it may well be launched on my birthday – a day to remember.

Positively Yours
